New WHite Dwarf / Warhammer Visions

Think I'll be cancelling my subscription, as Warhammer Visions does NOT appeal to me on this viewing...

I too shall be ending my long running sub. Its pants. A monthly mag with just pics and no boobies well we might as well be playing French hammer. The weekly is ok but not for its price and as such I will only buy ones relevant to me. Goodbye WD was nice knowing you.

Just odd.. As the reviewer says, we can get pictures of minis from the internet. What is needed are more painting guides/modelling guides or new campaign/mission rules (although I guess GW is trying to milk the latter through dataslates). I don't get what role the new magazine was supposed to provide :S

I do. If they made White Dwarf suddenly weekly, subscribers could rightly say "Well, I have a subscription, keep delivering it. At the old price. £9 a quarter in my case. Nowhere near the £10 per month you're charging to get the weekly rate"

So instead they make this bilge called Visions. It's released monthly, so that our subscriptions can be said to have been transferred to that, rather than the "new" weekly magazine that is subscription less.

Everyone will cancel their subscriptions.

In 6 months time, when no one is reading Warhammer Visions, they'll probably cease printing it. About the same time, you'll find you can get a White Dwarf weekly subscription, for the bargain price of £7.50 a month perhaps?

Anyone else notice that a third of the visions mag is last months WD??

I brought them to have a good look, but am left bitterly disappointed. Even the weekly one leaves a lot to be desired and i have Dwarfs! I was hoping the mag would be like the privatier press one as they could easily have produced this and bettered it.

The only good parts are the paint splatter articles which I think they've done a much better job with.

Spectacular epic fail imo.
