So, the club now has a starter set for Warmachine. This thread is for people to post about it... I want to see how much interest there is in the game... who might wish to start a force, and if so which factions they may play. It'll be a good way for me to judge whether buying the box set was a good use of club funds. So, have at it.

Rich H has taken this set to build the models for it. This will probably be the easiest for any interested parties to get into as several people at the club already play it and can show you the ropes. Not my cup of tea I have to admit, but if you guys get some enjoyment out of this set then it's all been worthwhile.

Hello chaps. So as I like warmachine I often keep eyes on whats occurring in the PP world. They are making the games warmachine and hordes (fully compatible) so much easier to start with new army boxes. Ive checked the contents of the current pre order factions avaliable and they are good competitive builds, the khador one is simular to my planed list. On waylands they are £79.15 for a 35 point force. I am aiming for 50pts games to start so with another unit and jack/beast maybe £50 more you have a flexible and competitive full army. How many other systems can you have a full army for that money. With fantasy dying I will defo be trying to draw some more if you in to this extremely enjoyable game.

I won't believe those rumours regarding fantasy till I see them, they seem too stupid even for GW... the only credibility they have is that... well, this is GW...

Even should the worst come to pass, Warmachine still hasn't caught my attention. But by all means try to get more people into it, regardless of whether fantasy flies or falters. I do plan to get that "Try-it-table" idea off the ground once the Badlands campaign is all wrapped up.
