After Legions Hammer Ashes thing got a bit too heavy going for us I thought we should do this instead, and have invited Games Workshop to play us in a group of friendly games.
This is NOT a tournament. Therefore there shall be no trophy, no silly army list restrictions, and hopefully no one will take things too seriously. This is a chance to have a beer, have a game, and meet some new gamers.
Both teams will provide three Warhammer Fantasy players and three Warhammer 40k players. Games will all occur simultaneously. We shall set up the scenery when we get to the club as per usual but tables will be drawn randomly.
In the interests of fairness each team will secretly write a player list, 1 2 and 3 for each system. Both player 1s will face each other and so on. This way any bad match ups are purely down to luck. Missions for each table will be randomised, with at least one witness from each team to confirm the fairness of the mission roll. The mission can be rerolled but only if both players agree.
I have a planned date of the 12th November for this. I know this is a way off but the GW manager is getting married late October and has asked that we don't give him anything else to organise. I was surprised too... GW staff get girlfriends?!?
