Food and Drinks

The club have informed us that outside food and drinks are not to be brought into the premises. I had always assumed it was ok to bring a bag of chips in, but either we've been breaking the rules and they haven't enforced it, or they've changed the rules, I don't know, but it is what it is. We still get the room and the storage for a ridiculously cheap price, so I'm not looking to rock the boat at all. So yes, in future please buy all drinks/snacks from the bar.

I'm pretty sure they'd still be OK with the chips, they don't sell them but I think it's more the bottles of coke and bags of crisps they have issues with.

I was eating a bag of chips when she told me. Perhaps it was more to do with the stuff they do sell than the stuff they don't, but the club board seems to have decided to enforce the rule in full. She said "no outside food or drink" I apologised, said I was under a mistaken impression that food was ok, as long as I bought my drinks at the bar, but she said no. I told her I won't do it again. Apparently the committee is writing some sort of formal letter for all members/guests. She was just giving us a heads up.
