Blood Bowl League Running Empty
PostSubject: Blood Bowl League Running   Blood Bowl League Running EmptyWed Jan 25, 2017 11:39 am

So, the two divisions we have right now are Division 1, with Rob P (human) Rob W (skaven) Scott (skaven) Jamie (kaven) and Ash (Khemri)

Division A has Ginge (Orks) Rich F (Orks) Chris (Orks) Neil (Humans) and Rich H (Chaos - I'll find out which specifically when we see him, this was Neil passing an incomplete message on)

Scott narrowly beat Jamie despite being on the receiving end of a brutal assault, and Rich F beat Neil despite being on the receiving end of a brutal assault... no that doesn't sound right to me either, but there you go.

You have to play everyone in your division twice, you are free to play friendlies against anyone, but several people have said they prefer for all games to be played on Tuesdays so no one can get too well developed by playing dozens of friendlies in their spare time.

The inaugural season we shall be playing for Ye Orkshire Bowl of Roses, an ork tournament that doesn't give as much prize money as you might like, but does give a bonus to the most casualties caused in competitive games... so make a note of how many you do in competitive games as for that particular prize friendlies don't count (keep a tally on the back of your roster)

Anyway, I'm playing 40k next week, but will hopefully get my first competitive bloodbowl game in the week after.

Blood Bowl League Running Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blood Bowl League Running   Blood Bowl League Running EmptySat Jan 28, 2017 10:12 am

Guys, a quick amendment. Jamie and Scott suggested only playing at club so no one team can develop miles ahead of everyone else, and I can see where they are coming from, however Rich H wants to be involved and he will be returning to the club soon, but obviously can't always make it down. He won't want to do nothing but bloodbowl so being able to play at places other than the club would really help him out, plus speed up the league for those of us who have the time for games at home. With Jamie and Scotts original concern in mind, I have two rules...

Games can be played away from the club, but only between two league participants. Doesn't have to be a league game, can be a friendly, but you both have to be in the league to corroborate for each other... yes, one player really did cause five casualties kinda thing.

Two, the baby seal rule. No more than two friendlies can be played against the same person. That way if you're giving an intro to someone you can't just keep beating on them time after time and upping your squad value... twice is sufficient, then you have to let someone else have a go! Razz

Thus if you want to play a game of bloodbowl against someone who isn't in the league, then it doesn't count unless it's at the club, in which case it'll be a friendly. One of two before you hand them off to a new teacher...

All sound fair?
